Sustainable Fashion Rating System

Fashion is a beautiful thing; it provides us with the functional and the ability to express who we are.
However, it shouldn’t come at a cost to people’s livelihoods, the planet or to animals…which currently it does on many levels.
IndeeFactor is a world-leading source of trusted Indie brand ratings, articles and expertise on sustainable fashion.
We celebrate the designers, makers and retailers who are committing to sustainable practices across every level of their supply chain and connect them with members of the global IndeeFactor community who want to look and live better.
We empower change agents across the industry – from online shoppers to global retailers – to know the impact of brands and to buy better.
At IndeeFactor we believe we have an obligation to educate and support consumers to make the best fashion buying decisions which will impact social, economic and environmental change.
We base what we do on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and specifically Goal 12, which states;
‘that by 2030 people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony and nature’. (12:8)
‘To encourage companies, especially large transnational companies, to adopt sustainable practices and to integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle.’ (12:6)
Sustainable practices and fashion brand transparency are key to building consumer trust and confidence.
There’s never been a more critical and exciting time to be in the fashion industry.
Together, let’s use the power of informed consumer choices to create a sustainable future in fashion.
